Subs are due at the start of each term and are currently £20 per term.  The majority of this money is used by the unit to pay for badges, books, stationary, equipment, craft products and cooking ingredients. A percentage pays for the annual census (membership fee) which covers the unit’s insurance policy and legal cover and a share of this is given to the Division, County and Regional Office without which we could not run the unit. We try to pay this from unit funds depending on numbers and the current financial situation of the unit. If this proves impossible, we may ask you to pay a small percentage of your daughters Census payment.

Contrary to popular belief - the leaders are all volunteers and are not paid for running the Units!

If, for any reason, you are unable to pay please inform one of the Leaders as soon as possible in complete confidence so that we can help. Girlguiding UK will NEVER refuse a child due to hardship.

The Brownie uniform is range of mix- and- match clothing which the girls can choose from, the uniform can purchased online at or locally at the Cheltenham Division Guide Shop. The uniform can be worn straight away however it is not required until the Promise Celebration, after which it should be worn to all Brownie meetings, events and trips unless otherwise stated.

Any profit from items bought at the Cheltenham Depot are given back to the Division to be spent on the children so please consider shopping there rather than online.

The Shop usually opens on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays each month from 12 noon to 3.00pm at Hatherley Scout HQ. Penrith Road (off Windermere Road) Cheltenham. GL51 3QB. Payments may be made by cash, cheque, debit or credit cards.
